DailyDriven Relaunch

 
 

In 2014 I started developing a new apparel brand focused from my experience in the automotive culture, but with simple and tasteful designs. The brand, DailyDriven, was the culmination of dreams and aspirations for what I wanted to do, but also to fulfill a creative void. DailyDriven.com was launched in October 2014 and grew to be a notable name within the space for many years to come.

Starting a business is not without its complications, especially when you’re doing this almost exclusively by yourself. I was designer, product planner, warehouse, fulfillment, marketing, sales and literally everything in between. From e-commerce to live events, I did whatever I could to stretch the brand as far as I could. Within five of the original launch, the weight of the business and burnout was setting in. I was debating about throwing in the towel and quietly shutting the site down when I was dealt another blow, the coronavirus.

COVID has a way of kicking the crutches out from underneath you when you need them the most, and with COVID absolutely destroying the global supply chain, it was ultimately time for me to step away from the business and close it down. In May of 2020, DailyDriven.com was closed for sales, the business was ultimately closed and I had in a way, walked away.

As fate would have it, this would not be the end of DailyDriven, or a passion project I had started some 6 years earlier. After several talks, meetings and negotiations, DailyDriven was reborn with a new partnership group who’s goal was to bring the brand back better than ever, with the help that I always needed.
